The Rangers Reach Community Grant Program will reopen for applications in fall 2026.
Rangers Reach funds organizations that foster or enable opportunities for young people (aged 5 – 20) across Waterloo Region, including through:
1. Access to sport and recreation
2. Belonging and social connections
3. Wellness, including provision of basic needs and mental health supports
Funding must be requested for one of the categories below, and not for general operating expenses:
• Programs and Services
• Capital Projects
• Equipment
We prioritize projects with repeated or ongoing contact with participants, rather than one-time events.
While we accept applications from sport associations, we do not provide funding to individual teams.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED INFORMATION
In addition to their grant application being reviewed and approved for funding by the Rangers Reach committee, recipients must apply through Rangers Reach to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and meet their eligibility criteria and be approved by the AGCO as an eligible recipient of lottery proceeds.
