Community Impact Grants are made available from proceeds raised at 50/50 raffles during Kitchener Rangers Home Games.
Grant applications are currently open and will be reviewed by the Rangers Reach Grants Committee in October 2025. Applicants will be notified of selection status in late November 2025.
Area of Focus for 2025
Youth Sport and Recreation is the focus area for Community Impact Grants that are funded through the Restricted Grants available from Rangers Reach in 2025.
In aligning with Rangers Reach’s strategic vision, Rangers Reach seeks to impact young people through grants to organizations that foster or enable:
1. Access to sport and recreation;
2. Belonging and social connections; and
3. Wellness, including provision of basic needs and mental health supports.
Rangers Reach focuses its efforts on children and youth aged 5 – 20. We prioritize programs and initiatives that have repeated or ongoing contact with participants, rather than one-time events.
Applications will only be accepted that align with our strategic vision based on the sub-categories outlined below.
• Sport Associations (not individual teams)
• Equipment
• Capital Projects
• Programs, initiatives, and events focused on youth sport and recreation in Waterloo Region
Applications for this year’s grants have now closed.
