Kitchener, ON – June 16, 2020 – Today the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club announced the launch of the Kitchener Rangers Community Fund. Rangers Reach is an independent non-profit organization, at arms length from the hockey club. With a focus on supporting the community that continues to support the Kitchener Rangers, the fund will coordinate community support and donations previously managed by the business operations side of the hockey club.
Rangers Reach makes $8,000 donation
During the 2019/20 regular season, Rangers goaltender Jacob Ingham and his family continued his Jake Saves campaign. The campaign provided a donation of $5 for every save he made during the season to help patients in need of blood. The Kitchener Rangers and Rangers Reach committed to matching that donation with another $5 for every save.
Rangers Reach recently presented the Kitchener Sports Association (KSA) with a donation of $10,000. As a result, this will assist with KSA’s efforts to support various programs within our community.
“The relationship we maintain with KSA is important to Rangers Reach” said Board Chair, Tim Jackson. “Above all, they are an important partner and we look forward to expanding our relationship in the future to benefit our community.”
